I've survived my first trimester (and a few extra weeks) and I have learned a few lesson so far. I thought I would share.
1. "Morning sickness" is sneaky. Just when you think you are past that point, it jumps out from behind your desk and makes you sick at work. Boo.
2. When you get hungry, eat immediately. Apparently Baby T is not patient when it comes to food! If I wait more that about five minutes that sneaky nausea part come back.
3. "Picking" a name is not really an accurate term for what happens. Negotiating a name is a lot closer to what is going on at my house these days. I've given up all hope of both of us being in love with the same name. I just hope we can find one we can both live with (or that he can live with, I definitely get the final vote!)
4. I think I can go through about 3 different sizes of clothing in one day. In the morning, the jeans fit, by lunch time, the hair tie is holding them together, by dinner, the jeans have just got to go! But, the next morning, they fit again. Weird.
5. Baby T is going to require a lot more equipment than I realized. I have started looking at baby things and never realized how many specialized pieces of multi-colored plastic were out there. Each activity requires a new thingy - a swing, a bouncer, a jumper, a walker - where is all this going in my house and why does it all have to be so hideously colored?!
6. Being pregnant is the only time I have ever went this long without hearing A tell me "no." Can I have a back rub/ice cream/glass of water/trip to Target? I'm not sure if he can be this nice for 6 more months, but here's to hoping!
I'm learning something new everyday, so there will be many more informative posts to come.
