Our week...

has not been the best.  Jacob woke up Saturday morning with a fever and did not feel good all day.  He took a four hour nap!  He just sat around and watched everything we did.  We knew something was wrong when he wanted to sit in our laps and just be still.  Sunday morning he seemed to be feeling better, so we went to church.  Well, that wasn't the best idea.  The girl in the nursery that always takes him and loves playing with him was waiting in the hall as we came back to get him with a very exasperated "there you are!"  Uh-oh.  Jacob never cries when we leave him anywhere and he loves the nursery, but not Sunday.  She said he cried the whole time!  Poor thing :( So we took him back home and he napped for most of the afternoon.  Sunday also brought lots of eye drainage (sorry, I know that's gross) and congestion so A and I decided he needed to go to the doctor Monday morning.  I have to say, this is pretty much the first time he's been very sick.  He's had a runny nose before, but nothing like this.  The doctor said he had a cold, an infection in his eyes (from the cold) and a bad double ear infection.  I felt so bad for him!  He started antibiotics right away and is feeling so much better.  He's almost back to his old self!   I'm glad too, because we're going to visit friends this weekend and didn't want to have to take a sick little boy on a road trip.

In other non-Jacob-related news, (is there such a thing anymore?)  I took advantage of all the extra nap time this weekend to tackle some projects I found on Pinterest.  I do not have pictures of my actual projects, didn't have THAT much extra time, but I will post the pictures that inspired my projects.

My wreath looks a little different, but it's still really cute and great for the upcoming birthday party decorations.

And this was quite the project, but I'm so glad I did it!  I am thrilled with how well it turned out. I will not, however, say it was easy!  Oil rubbed bronze spray paint to refinish hardware.

I've had this idea for a while, but finally got around to doing it.  I used kid friendly fabrics and plan to put the bins in Jacob's room.

And for a few more tasty projects...

The lasagna roll ups were great!  I used spinach, mushrooms, ricotta and Parmesan to make the stuffing and bought marinara sauce.  So yummy!

And this was quite possible the easiest thing I've ever made.  One can of corn, black beans, and rotel, one block of cream cheese, two frozen chicken breast, and one packet of ranch dip mix.  Cook for 6 hours, shred the chicken and add it back.  I topped ours with sour cream.  So good!

Have a great Thursday!
