Happy Friday!

I am SO glad it's Friday!  This has been a crazy week.  Before Jacob was born, I had planned to go back to work after about 2 months, but after he arrived, that was harder than I thought it would be.  For the past 6 months, I have been trying to decide what to do - what would be best for our family and what would be best for Jacob.  A and I have both done quite a lot of praying about it and I finally found a great opportunity.  I will be working again, but only in the afternoons after A is home from work.  I will still be able to stay home with Jacob during the day and he won't have to go to daycare.  That was my biggest goal, so I am thrilled!  I did feel a certain amount of responsibility to the job I was on leave from.  I knew they would be happy for me, but I didn't want to seem completely ungrateful for all the time they had given me and the understanding they had for my situation.  So, I told them what I had decided and I agreed to come back for 2 weeks to help find someone full time to replace me and begin the training (they had someone temporary while I was out).  My last day was this past Wednesday and I had training for my new job on Thursday.  So, again, I am SO happy it's Friday! I will give more details about the new job later, I am still training and still learning, and I am not completely sure when I will start.  I could not be happier that this has worked out and I am so relieved to stop feeling like my time at home with Jacob will be over soon!

And on top of all that, Jacob had his check up/shots this week.  I know I posted his stats - which we were so happy about! Knowing that he started out at 13% for weight, 46% is great! But that post was very short, to say the least!  He did well with his shots and hasn't had any problems from them so far.  The doctor said he had a slight case of eczema (we pretty much knew, but wanted her opinion) and gave us a new cream that is really helping.  She also said that he is old enough to be sleeping in his bed all night and we need to work with him to break the habit of waking up and getting put in our bed half way through the night.  I will admit that's mostly our fault.  At 3 am, we're both too tired and lazy to get him back to sleep every time and he can be quite stubborn.  But the doctor's advice motivated me and we have worked to fix this problem the past 2 nights.  The first night, he cried for about 40 minutes and then went back to sleep. Last night, he only cried for 20 minutes, so I am hopeful this night will be even better.  It has been tough, but a good night of sleep every night will be well worth a few bad nights.  Wish us luck!

Now on to the good part, this week's cutest pics!

He's starting early!  Even though he only seems to want to chew on them, Jacob does like his golf clubs he got for Easter!

And what could be more comfy than an Oscar pillow?!

Happy Friday!
