12 Months

Carson is (a little over) 1 year old now!  It has gone by way to fast.  He is walking every where now and trying out new words.  He loves to eat, I only wish he loved to sleep as much.  He loves to play and he adores Jacob.
12 month stats - 24.2 lbs - 68%
                         30.75 in - 77%

I keep telling myself that I'll catch up on the blog soon... we'll see what happens!

11 Months

How can Carson be 11 months old already?! I can't believe I have started planning his birthday party!
At 11 months, Carson is so busy and everywhere all at once!  He is crawling and pulling up all the time.  No steps yet, but I don't think it will be too much longer.  He is still eating a lot and taking 5 bottles a day.  We are starting to switch from a bottle to a cup, so wish us luck.  He is in mostly 12 months clothes and still wearing a size 4 diapers.  His sleep is getting a little more consistent during the day and he is sleeping 10-12 hours at night.  Everyone says, and I have to agree, that Carson is such a happy baby.  He is so loving and loves hugs!

I know I'm more than a little behind on blogging this year, I will make an attempt to catch up soon!

10 Month

Wow, 10 months.  I'm honestly not too sure how that happened. 
Carson is growing and learning SO much these days.  I forgot how fun and busy this phase can be.  He is crawling super fast, pulling up, and cruising around furniture.  I have a feeling he will be walking before we know it. 
We have started giving Carson some table food with his baby food and he is loving it!  He will throw his bottle down for a few bites off our plates any day! 
Carson has just started wearing his 12 month clothes and is still in size 4 diapers.  He is growing a lot, but mostly in length right now. 
Jacob and Carson are really starting to play together and enjoy each other so much now.  Carson claps and yells when Jacob wakes up from his nap and they are always happy to play together.  I am impressed how patient Jacob is with Carson and how well he shares and interacts with him.  Jacob is such a good big brother!
Also, the pictures are getting to be a bit challenging!

9 Months

Carson is really on the move now!  He is crawling everywhere, very quickly, and pulling up wherever he can.  He is growing too.  He's barely fitting in his 6-9 month clothes these days.  He is in a size 4 diaper.  He is still taking 5 bottles a day and eating 3 meals with snacks.  We've started letting him try "real" food and he loves getting to eat what we eat.  He is still eating baby food most of the time, though.  Carson's sleeping schedule is pretty consistent most of the time, 10-12 hours at night and 2-3 during the day.  He loves to try to do whatever Jacob does and he follows his around all day.  I am so glad they play well together.  Jacob loves to show him things and let him play with his toys!

8 Month Picture

I finally found a way to make blogger upload my pictures again! Better late than never!

8 Months

Carson is 8 months and, wow, is he growing now!  He's over 21 pounds and wearing size 6/9 clothes and 4 diapers.  He is taking 5 bottles and eating 3 times a day. He has 2 teeth and started crawling and pulling up last week in Destin!  I cannot believe how fast he's checking off his milestones! 
Carson loves to be held and he loves to "talk."  He's sleeping 2-3 hours during the day and 9-11 at night.  So far, he seems to be in a great routine. 
Everyone who meets him comments what a happy baby he seems to be, and he really is.  We are blessed to have him in our family!

Trying to catch up

I know I'm a little behind on my blog post, but I've been just a little busy lately.  Forgive me if this gets long, but I will try to give you a quick recap of our year so far.
January
1. I turned 29 for the second time - crazy how that happens - and had a great time celebrating with my family and friends.
2. I also started selling Origami Owl.  It has been great so far and part of the reason I've been a little extra busy.  (go to www.kaylatullos.origamiowl.com if you want to check it out!)
February
We had a great Valentine's Day this year.  I'm still not too sure if Jacob knows what he is celebrating, but he loves celebrating!
March
A and I went to Branson to celebrate our 6 year anniversary while Jacob and Carson enjoyed a weekend with Kay-Kay and Papa.  We enjoyed a nice weekend visiting in New Albany and celebrated Easter here at home.  The boys loved Easter - all the egg hunts and Easter baskets.  It's so much fun to see them celebrating holidays!
April
Honestly, April was pretty calm for the most part.  We spent a lot of time enjoying the nice weather and being at home. 
I'm really sorry there are no pictures on the post, but blogger won't let me upload for some reason.  I will try to get a catch-up-picture-post soon.

7 Months

I know it's a little late, but Carson is 7 months old!  He is growing like crazy and changing so much now.  He is rolling all over the house and he can scoot backwards.  I'm sure it won't  be too long before he's crawling forward.  He can sit up pretty well, but he's normally moving around and distracted, so it's not too long before he falls over!
Carson is taking 5 bottles a day and eating 3 meals of solid food.  He loves to eat!  Sleeping is still a little iffy, but he sleeps about 10 hours most nights and naps about 2 hours during the day.  He has definitely improved his sleeping in the past few weeks.
I have to say, I am impressed how well he goes along with all of our activities.  He loves to go to story time and gymnastics with Jacob.  He really loves getting to see all the other little ones at playgroup every week.  We are always going and doing something, but he seems to enjoy it all.

Carson's 6 month stats

We went for Carson's 6 month check up yesterday, and wow, he is growing!
27 1/2 inches - 80%
19 lbs 2 oz - 73%
He is rolling over both ways and learning to move himself around the room quite well. He is almost sitting up on his own.  Sleeping is still a little bit of a challenge, but he is making is 8-10 hours a night and a few hours of napping during the day.  I'm usually not lucky enough to get a good night sleep and a good nap on the same day.  Carson is also eating really well.  He is still taking 5 bottles a day and eating 2-3 small jars of baby food too.  He loves to eat!  I am amazed at how fast he is growing and changing, learning more everyday!

5 Months

Carson is 5 months old now and growing so fast!  The last time I weighed him, he was just a little over 17 lbs!  I cannot believe how fast he is growing or how much bigger he is than Jacob was at that age.  He's definitely a little chunk!  Carson is eating so much!  He's taking 5 bottles a day and just starting on cereal and baby food.  So far, that's all going pretty well so far.  His sleeping has been a different story.  I think we are finally working through the problems, but it hasn't been as easy as it was with Jacob.  He is napping well now, so I'll take what I can get!  Carson loves people, especially his brother!  He loves to play and watch everything that is going on around him.  He had also found his voice recently and loves to talk and yell at whoever will listen. Carson is rolling over, when he really wants to, and I don't think he's too far from sitting up.  He has so much energy and is so much fun!

Four Months

It's really hard to believe, but we went to the doctor for Carson's four month check up today.  Just as we thought, he is perfectly healthy and right on track.  He is rolling over and starting to play with his toys.  He is growing very quickly and very alert!  Carson is taking 5 bottles a day and sleeping well on the good days, not so well on others.  We are hoping that will continue to improve with time.  Jacob was always a great sleeper, so we're a little inexperienced when it comes to anything else. 

25 1/2 inches - 70%
15 pounds - 50%

Carson is a little bigger than Jacob was at this age, but his stats and percentages are very similar.  For now, it looks like Carson is going to be long and thin like his brother.

And because Jacob always has to get in on the pictures...

Last week, Jacob decided he wanted to play dress-up Carson.  He thought his hat would look good on little brother.  I think it was pretty cute!

Christmas...finally!

Yeah, I know, I'm a little behind.

We decided to spend Christmas eve and Christmas morning at home this year before heading to my parents for the week. On Christmas eve morning, Jacob decided it would be a good idea to jump off his window seat, but instead of jumping out, he fell to the side and hit his face on the edge of the bench.  He got a pretty good size knot and a huge bruise on the side of his face.  He stopped crying after just a few minutes, but we spent most of the day freaking out about it.  The bruise is finally starting to go away, but it's very visible in all of his Christmas pictures!

We went to Christmas eve service at church.  I wish I had known to have my camera ready at church, because Jacob ran up on stage at the end of the service to help with the closing prayer and song.  That kid.

Christmas morning was fun, getting to see Jacob find all his presents from Santa under his tree!

We left just as the storm was starting and completely missed the 12" of snow that fell at our house Christmas night.  I can't say that I'm too upset about that!

In Mississippi, we visited grandparents, great-grandparents, and great-great-grandparents.  We celebrated with everyone and enjoyed our week there.  Jacob and Carson had fun getting to play with their cousins and all the new toys Santa left at Kay-Kay and Papa's house too.

A and I also enjoyed some time to ourselves, going to dinner and 2 movies in one week!  That was a welcome surprise for us and we really appreciated my parents giving us that time to enjoy.
