A little more catching up

Last week, Jacob went to a pumpkin painting party.  I was really surprised how much he enjoyed it and his pumpkin looks great!

This week has been really busy and we still have a halloween party, boo-lloon festival, and two trunk-or-treats to go, along with Jacob's second birthday and party!  I'm sure it will take me several weeks to get all those pictures posted.

Catching Up

Last weekend was a very busy, very fun weekend.  Saturday we went to the pumpkin patch.  Jacob had a great time.  There were animals, tractors, and lots of slides.  He didn't want to leave!

Sunday we went to a dinosaur exhibit downtown. Jacob was so amazed by all the models - he didn't say word the whole time we were walking through!

Carson was also pretty interested in all the lights and sounds.

 I think his favorite part was definitely the bounce house at the end of the tour. I can't wait to see how excited he will be to have one for his party next weekend!

One Month

Carson is one month old and growing so fast!  He's already over nine pounds and still sleeping well. 

And just because I was curious...

I guess they look alike, just a little, but not too much.

We've been so busy with lots of  fall activities lately!  I will try to catch up on all the fun and pictures soon!

Weee-O Weee-O

Jacob went on a tour of the fire station this morning and got to see the "weee-o weee-o trucks" up close.  He was so quite and just took it all in - not exactly what we were expecting!  He had a great time and has been talking about it since we left.

2 weeks and 23 months

We have been a family of four for two weeks now and we have all survived so far!  I am somewhat amazed.  Carson is doing really well.  He's gaining weight and sleeping well. He's also starting to stay awake for longer stretches during the day.  He's been such a calm, relaxed baby and  I can't tell you how happy that makes me!  I am getting the hang of handling two boys, but it's still a challenge at times and I love the fact that Carson is just going with the flow so far.  All of Jacob's activites have started back for the fall, so Carson has been going to storytime at the library, gymnastics, playgroup, and anything else that occupies Jacob. 

Jacob is just a little over 23 months old now.  That means at the end of this month he will be 2!  Wow, no more months, just years.  I cannot believe that he's growing up so fast.  We are planning his second birthday party and all the Halloween activities.  I love the fact that there are so many fun activites around the time of his birthday and he always gets to celebrate for days and days!

Jacob is learning and growing so much these days.  He is repeating anything and everything and knows almost all of his animals and sounds.  He starting to learn colors too, but that's still not quite his best subject.  I have to say, more than anything, Jacob is obsessed with anything with wheels.  He loves cars, trucks, tractors, bikes, planes, all of it! We are going to tour the fire station in the morning - I can't wait to see how excited he is to get to play on a real firetruck!  I'll try to get some pictures to post, but until then, here's a cute picture of Jacob and Carson with their Papa, who had a birthday yesterday.
