22 Months and 36 Weeks

Jacob is 22 months old today and growing so fast!  I think he's finally starting to put on a little weight and his coordination is getting much better too.  He's only had one busted lip in the past few weeks!  I have to say, I'm pretty happy about that, just hoping he can continue to stay somewhat injury free!

Along with his new found coordination, Jacob has also learned several new skills that he loves to show off.  He loves to jump, spin in circles, and walk backwards whenever he has an audience to cheer him on.  He's also started performing several new "dance" moves whenever he hears music.

Jacob is also learning so much now.  He can tell you about 10 or so animal sounds and idenify most of the objects and animals in his books.  He loves to read, especially his books about cars or trucks.  This kid is completely obsessed with anything on wheels - cars, trucks, choo-choo's, tractors, mowers, loaders (his name for all construction equipment) - he loves it all!

No matter how much he changes, on thing stays the same - Jacob is such a sweet boy!  He loves to give hugs and kisses!  I hope that never changes!
And for an update on Baby T2... I am a little over 36 weeks now.  I'm going in for weekly check-ups now, and as of last week, everything is still looking great.  I actually lost a few pounds last week, but I attribute that to the horrible sinus infection I've been battling for about two weeks now.  I am definitley looking forward to getting over it soon!
We are still discussing/ debating the idea of scheduling an induction vs. waiting on Baby T2 to come on his own.  We are really undecided right now and will have to wait a few weeks for the doctor to give his reccommendations, but I have a feeling Baby T2 might beat us all to a decision.  I've already started feeling the uncomfortable feeling that I didn't feel until right before Jacob was born.  Let's just hope he waits at least until all this bad weather is over this weekend!

Happy Tuesday!

Shower for Baby T2

My sweet friends gave me a wonderful shower last weekend for Baby T2.  Everything was so wonderful!
Lindsay hosted and did such a great job with all the decorations and food.

Bethany, Stephannie, Jackie, and Jerra helped as well, and I am very appreciative to them all! I love our playgroup moms!
I loved all the adorable gifts we got for Baby T2 and all my sweet friends who came out to help celebrate this exciting time!

I was so glad my parents could come for the weekend and my mom got to go to the shower with me.
Of course Jacob had to get in on the fun.  He came over and played with his friends while we were cleaning up.  He loves Ethan and Sadie!

21 months and 33 weeks

Jacob is a little over 21 months now.  I can't believe how fast this year has gone by or that he's this close to being 2!  He is learning and growing so much everyday.  His vocabulary is really expanding now.  He still won't say what you want him to when you want him to say it, but he is saying more words everyday.  I am surprised by the fact that he says almost as many sentences as single words.  He's pretty good at putting it all together.
Jacob is getting taller by the day and still doesn't seem to be gaining much weight.  At this point, I'm pretty sure he will always be tall and thin. He is surprisingly really interested in using his potty already, so I guess I'm going to be really brave and try potty training next week.  Wish me luck!  If it doesn't work, we'll just try again later.
Baby T2 is already 33 1/2 weeks!  I really hate to repeat myself, but I can't believe it's gone by this fast!  At my 32 week check-up last week, everything was still going along right on track.  I'm still measuring just a little ahead and I've gained 16 pounds so far.  I am a little surprised about how tired I've been so far, but I think I probably have Jacob to thank for part of that :)  We are almost finished with the nursery and the to-do-list we are trying to finish in the next 6 weeks.  I'll post pictures soon!
A and I are going to the last golf tournament of the summer this weekend and Jacob will be spending the weekend with my parents.  I'm sure he will have a great time being spoiled by his Kay-Kay and Papa all weekend, and A and I will enjoy a relaxing weekend break.  Sorry for the lack of pictures in this post; I'll try to have lots to post next time.

happy Tuesday!
