"Happy Bir-bay Dada!"

We are celebrating Andrew's birthday today and having fun so far.  He gots several gifts over the past few weeks, and we are going out to dinner tonight.  I have to say, no matter what I plan, I think Jacob definitely beat me out for the best gift.  With a little help, he told Andrew "Happy Bir-bay Dada" this morning.  I'm pretty sure it made his day! 

Destin 2012

Last week was so much fun!  I was so excited to see how much Jacob would love the beach, and I was right.  He loved the water!  He had such a great time seeing all his grandparents and I'm pretty sure they had a great time too.  So, I have a lot of pictures to share! 

Jacob was a little apprehensive when we first walked down to the water.

After a few minutes, he was a little more excited.

Jacob was much happier the next morning.  He had a great time playing in the sand!

 And playing with his Daddy, of course!

A and I went to lunch at the Boathouse Oyster Bar.  We go every year and it is always so good!

We went to dinner at the Crab Trap and, of course, Jacob made a friend on the playground!

Jacob loved wearing his sunglasses all week!

He turned out to be quite the little beach bum!

And Jacob loved the pool too!  I was so surprised and proud of him.  We put floaties on him and he paddled around the pool by himself!

Dinner Saturday night

Jacob found the fountains outside after dinner Saturday night and had the best time!  And of course, he made another friend!

He and Annie were both soaked, but he laughed the entire time!

A and I took a little time Sunday and went to the Harbor Walk.  It's really nice to have time to get away just the two of us for a little while.

We spent our last night walking around Baytowne Wharf.  It's such a fun place and we had dinner at the Acme Oyster House!  That has to be one of my favorites!

 We all had such a wonderful time and A, Jacob, and I were so happy to spend time with family we don't get to see often enough.  No one was ready to go home!  I'll leave you with a few more pretty pictures.

beach bound

I have been super busy this week, but so excited!  We will be at the beach Thursday!  Our trip last year was so much fun, and we can't wait to see Jacob enjoy the beach this year.  I'm sure he will keep us all on our toes!  We definitely don't get to spend enough time with our families, so it is wonderful to see them all for a few days in such a fun, relaxing place. I found some cute pics from last summer...

Mother's Day Weekend

A and Jacob worked hard to give me a wonderful and special weekend, and I am so grateful!  Saturday morning we went downtown to the farmer's market and had lunch.  Jacob had a great time running around and enjoyed walking through the park too.

Sunday morning, A and Jacob surprised me with very sweet gifts - a gift certificate for a massage and a new bible!

I had a wonderful Mother's Day weekend!  I am very lucky to have this sweet (most of the time!) little boy!

18 month check up

Jacob had his 18 month check up yesterday.  I am happy to say his appointment went much faster than Baby T2's on Monday!  The doctor gave him a great report.  She said he's completely healthy and developing right on track.  We didn't expect to hear anything else, but it's always nice to get a good report.  Jacob did have to get one shot, but he didn't even shed one tear!  I was so proud of him!  He said "oww!" and showed everyone his "boo-boo" all day, but he didn't get upset.
 And for his official stats:

• 24 pounds 12 ounces - 32%
• 33 inches - 60%

I have to say, it's been a busy, but great week.  We are so happy to know we have 2 healthy boys!

It's a ...

boy!

We are so excited!  Jacob will have a little brother and I'm so glad they will be close.  Besides running over an hour behind with an impatient 18 month old, my appointment was great.  The ultrasound looked perfect, and the doctor said everything is great and right on schedule.  I have some how only gained 4 lbs so far, but I am not complaining about that at all! 

Now if we could just decide on a name...
