15 month stats

Jacob had his 15 month check up this morning.  Let me tell you, those trips to the doctor are getting more and more challenging.  I don't think he sat still for one single minute today.  The doctor did say that Jacob was perfectly healthy and seemed to be doing great.  And for his stats...
23 lbs 12 oz - 38%
31 1/4 inches - 55%
He's still tall and skinny!

another busy week

This past week has been quite a busy, crazy one for us.  A had to go to meetings out of town, so Jacob and I took our first road trip, just the two of us. Traveling alone with him was a little easier than I expected, but still a challenge.  We spent Wednesday night with my parents.  Jacob always enjoys spending time with them and, of course, they do too!  Thursday, I went to pick A up and we all three went to Starkville to see friends.  We were all so happy to see them.  The boys went to a basketball game, the little boys got to play, and we girls spend some great time together catching up.

Friday morning, we went back to New Albany to spend the weekend with family.  Friday night we went to the Tupelo Flea Market.  It's always interesting to see what all is there and this trip was no different.  Jacob spotted a large, metal chicken that was about 4 feet tall and just had to go over and pet it.  It was so funny!

Some of my family that did not make it home for Christmas came to town Saturday.  We had a late Christmas/birthday catch up/early baby shower celebration Saturday night.  It was so much fun to see everyone and catch up.  The little ones all enjoyed catching up over cupcakes!

Last week was long and included a lot of miles, but it was all worth it to spend time with our family and friends.

A little more Christmas...

So, after my last post, we had our last Christmas celebration.  A's parents and sister came to visit on Wednesday and stayed until Friday.  We opened more presents and ate lots more food. 

Can you tell how much he loved his new John Deere four-wheeler?! 

We went on a walk and played at the park. We went to Pinnacle Mountain and walked around the Promenade.

It was a busy few days, but we had so much fun and Jacob really enjoyed spending time with his Mia, Teddy Bear, and Annie.

We also got to celebrate Anne sixteenth birthday!  We went to dinner at Loca Luna and watched her open a beautiful gift!

We were so blessed to get to spend so much time with our families this year and enjoy Jacob discovering the joy of Christmas.  I hope everyone had a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year too!
