January so far...

January has been pretty relaxed for us so far and we been loving it!  We have just been hanging out at home and staying warm.  We loved the snow and hope to get a little more before winter is over!

 In all our time at home, Jacob has been having a lot of fun...

He's been reading the paper with his Daddy...

and playing with his new favorite toy elephant.

He is growing so much - he's about 11 lbs, 8 oz now- and playing and cooing more and more everyday.  He stays awake for several hours at a time and sleeps close to 8 hours at night!  I have a few cute videos that I will post once I can get them from my phone to the blog. 

I just had to post this last picture - anyone that knows A very well knows why this onesie is just perfect for Jacob!

2 Month Check-up

We took Jacob for his 2 month check-up today.  The doctor said he is doing great!

• 10 lbs 12 oz - he's now up to the 30th percentile
• 23 1/2 inches long - also up from last visit to the 68th percentile

We're so glad to know that, not only is he finally growing well, but he's starting to catch up to where he should be.  The doctor was very pleased and said that he will probably continue to grow at a fast pace.  After all the good news came the not-so-fun part - shots!  Needless to say, Jacob was not a happy little boy.  He was asleep right before the shots and he hates being woken up, but we now know he hates being woken up by a shot even more!  His eyes got so big and he looked at us for about 3 seconds before he let out one of the loudest screams I've ever heard from him.  It was so pitiful :(  He's doing okay this afternoon...as long as nothing wakes him! 

 Now, I'm off to the vet for Oscar's check-up. We're hoping to hear he's doing well too!

More Christmas Pictures

I always seem to have a few pictures I don't get posted, so I thought I would try to do better at that this year.

I can't believe this one didn't get posted earlier!  Oscar has been so sweet with Jacob.  He likes to stay close and keep an eye on him. 

Speaking of Oscar, he is not have the best start to the New Year.  He scratched his eye somehow over the weekend and now has a new (unwanted) accessory.  Poor thing :( 

I love this picture of Jacob and my Grandfather.  He was so excited to meet Jacob over Christmas.  He has been in the hospital for the past week, so say a little prayer for him please.

While I was in New Albany for Christmas, two of my best friends finally got a chance to meet Jacob.  It was so good to get to see them and Jacob seemed to enjoy it too. Miss you girls!
