Too many decisions!

Yay, it's a boy!  One question answered; many more asked.  I never really thought about it before, but finding out that Baby T is Baby Boy T complicated life more than simplified it.  We now know what clothes to buy (and I've already started getting plenty!), but that's about the only thing.  We are currently arguing debating discussing two major issues (along with several minor ones):

1. name - of course - wow, what a hard decision.  A doesn't like what I like, I don't like what A likes, and we are both starting to go blank.  I never knew naming a baby would be so hard.  I know we will find just the right name eventually; I just hope eventually gets here before Baby T does.

2. nursery decor - We decided early on that we wanted the nursery to be gender neutral, so we picked out the fabric for the bedding, shade, and chair while we could still make honestly neutral decisions.  We knew that after we found out boy/girl we would add some character to the room.  Of course I had several cute girl ideas in mind, but not boy.  Now we are trying to decide if we should have a theme, and if so, what on earth it should be!

Other than all the discussing and deciding, things have been pretty good for the past few weeks.  A had another golf tournament this weekend, which meant I got plenty of shopping and relaxing time.  My parents are joining us for the fourth weekend, so that will be a nice weekend of no driving for us!  Hopefully we will get a little decorating and a little shopping done as well.  I hope to have pictures to post next week!

It's A Boy!

We had our ultrasound this morning, and it's a boy! A and I were honestly both happy with either, just really curious to finally know, but A was grinning from ear to ear - it was adorable!

Baby T was a lot of fun to watch on the ultrasound.  He is apparently a big fan of his hands and held them up to his face for most of the session.  He was covering and uncovering his eyes, putting them in his mouth, and lifting them over his head.  I also saw and felt a few kicks while we were watching.  At one point during the session, he turned from profile to look straight at us.  Of course we could tell much about his face, but it was kinda funny to see him looking back.  We were told that he is measuring a little big right now, already 1 pound and 1 ounce, but the due date is still early November.  I am not all that surprised about the size part. He will probably be taller than me by kindergarten!

I said I would post a picture...

Half Way!

I am officially 20 weeks pregnant and half way there today, yay! Baby T is growing a lot - I know this because I seem to be growing every day.  I didn't have a bump until a week or two ago, but it is quite noticeable now.  If I keep growing at this new rate, I will be as round as I am tall by November!  I will post a picture soon.

We have our next doctor's appointment Wednesday and we get to find out if Baby T is a boy or a girl.  A and I are both so excited! (He still thinks its a girl, my guess keeps changing)  I just hope that Baby T cooperates with the ultrasound, but part of me doubts this a bit.  If genetics play a part in personality, I can only imagine Baby T will probably be just a little stubborn.  Either way, I can't wait to see him or her again.  We haven't had an ultrasound since week 9.

I already know Baby T is like A and I in one big way, he or she is not a morning person!  For the past week, when I sit up to get out of bed in the morning, I get a kick to the belly button.  This is by far the most definite and strongest kick I feel all day - "just five more minutes!" I can't blame him/her, I don't want to get up either!

Stopping to Smell the Roses

So, A is pretty much an expert in anything relating to the yard, grass, or plants - after seven years of college, it's expected.  I will admit, this can be slightly annoying informational at times (like when he tried to explain all the different types of grass, or which chemicals kill which weeds, or how cutting the yard in different directions will create different patterns, etc) but it can be VERY beneficial as well.  I am so proud of all his hard work and our beautiful yard!
